Ready to take it to locals?
A Champion Deck plus a handful of singles goes a long way. Each legend page lists the cards that matter and what we have in stock.
Which Champion Deck first?
For value
Players on r/riftboundtcg most often name Vex as the best value Champion Deck. Its XP mechanic is a little more to learn.
For a simple plan
Fiora and Rumble are the usual picks for a clear plan that upgrades without many expensive cards.
For an easy start
Jinx and Viktor are easy to learn. As Origins decks they’re older and weaker than the later ones, so check the price.
What’s in the box
A ready-to-play 56-card deck, a booster from that set, a paper playmat and a rules booklet. From Spiritforged on, a fold-out deck box too.
What’s next
Legacy (29 January 2027) and Proving Grounds 2nd Edition (February 2027) bring new starter decks. We’ll list them once Riot confirms them.

Questions
Good to know
Which Riftbound Champion Deck should I get first?
Players on r/riftboundtcg most often point new players to Vex for value, and to Fiora or Rumble for simple, upgradeable plans; Jinx and Viktor are easy to learn. The Origins decks are older and weaker than the later ones, so they’re less value now.
How do I upgrade a Champion Deck?
Keep the legend and the core, then add the signature spells and stronger units for that legend. Players report that a Champion Deck plus about $40 of singles gets most of the way to a competitive list. Each legend page shows the cards and what we have in stock.
Proving Grounds or a Champion Deck?
Proving Grounds is a boxed set of four decks for learning with friends; a Champion Deck is one deck for one legend, built to be upgraded for locals. A second edition of Proving Grounds is due in February 2027.
Should I buy a Champion Deck or booster packs?
The Champion Deck. Boosters won’t give you a working deck; a Champion Deck plays out of the box, and singles finish it off.
How much is postage if I only want a couple of cards?
$2.50 untracked letter post for a few singles under 5mm thick. Tracked is $9.95 and required on orders over $50, and orders over $75 ship tracked for free. Every card goes in a penny sleeve and toploader, never several cards jammed into one.
