Questions
Good to know
What should I bring to my first card show?
Cash and a card, penny sleeves and toploaders for anything you buy, and a list of what you’re after. If you’re selling, sort your cards first and know roughly what they’re worth.
How do I avoid overpaying at a show?
Check recent sold prices on your phone before you buy, look at the card’s condition closely, and don’t be shy about asking for a better price on bigger buys.
Are card shows worth going to?
For trading, finding binders of old cards and checking condition in person, yes. Big shows can mean long queues and an entry fee, so arrive early or pick a smaller local show for a first go.
